What we store, and how to ask us to delete it.
We keep this page short on purpose. If anything here is unclear or doesn’t match what you want, email atelier.machina@outlook.com and we’ll sort it.
The chat widget on this site
The chat bubble in the corner is an intake agent. When you send a message, we store the conversation so our founder can follow up with you later and so we remember what’s been discussed if you come back. That’s it.
What gets stored:
- Your messages and the agent’s replies.
- The timestamp of each turn.
- Your IP address and a browser cookie so we can recognize you if you return to the same device.
- Any email address you volunteer in the chat — we use it to follow up and nothing else.
What does not get stored:
- Anything you didn’t type or provide.
- Your data on anyone else’s servers. The chat backend runs on a single machine the founder owns. Your messages are not sent to an external analytics service, not shared with a marketing platform, not sold to a data broker.
Emails you send us
If you email atelier.machina@outlook.com, we store
the thread the same way any business stores its inbox. We use it
to respond to you and to track the relationship if you become
a client. We don’t add you to a newsletter we don’t
have.
How long we keep it
Conversations and emails are kept until you ask us to delete them, or until two years after the last interaction, whichever comes first. Daily backups are kept for fourteen days, then purged.
How to get your data out, or ask us to delete it
Email atelier.machina@outlook.com with the word “privacy” in the subject. Tell us what you want:
- A copy of everything we have about you — we’ll reply with a markdown file of your conversations and emails within five business days.
- Deletion — we’ll delete your records (conversations, emails, prospect entry) within five business days and confirm.
No verification theater. If you can read an email on the address we have on file for you, that’s enough.
Cookies
One cookie, am_chat_cid, is set by the chat widget
to keep your conversation continuous across page loads. It’s
a random string, not tied to any third party, and lasts one year.
You can delete it in your browser; the next chat will start fresh.
We don’t use
Third-party analytics. Ad pixels. Remarketing tags. Session replays. Fingerprinting. None of it. If we add any of it in the future, this page gets updated first.
